The James Beard Foundation has launched a relief fund for the F&B industry. Details still emerging, but information is found at: http://jamesbeard.org/relief
This group, started by restaurant professionals, is distributing groceries to out-of-work hospitality workers to support them and the farmers producing the food.
Groceries are being distributed via sign-up at three locations around the area 3/19-3/21 with the aim of repeating and expanding based on need and availability of supplies.
A secondary goal of the group is to promote healthy, engaged and connected living in this challenging time. Resources to help with this are available on their site at http://sites.google.com/view/friendsfamilymeal/home
